There is something timeless about the first-generation Pontiac Firebird that color photography can sometimes distract from. In this black-and-white study, the focus shifts entirely to the "Coke-bottle" styling and the iconic divided grille that defined an era of American muscle.
Shot on location in Lubbock, the high-contrast edit highlights the symmetry of the quad headlights and the mirror-like finish of the bumper. For me, photography is about stripping away the noise to find the character of the subject—and this '68 has character in spades. It’s not just a car; it’s a piece of rolling sculpture from a time when design was bold and unapologetic.
